At this years Welding & Cutting exhibition LORCH presents their new process innovations SpeedPulse and SpeedArc. SpeedArc which is available with the Lorch P-series, gives a highly focused arc with great power density which results in a higher arc pressure point to the weld pool. This produces a very stable arc and makes MIG-MAG welding up to 30% faster. The arc is also at long, free wire ends easy to control, i.e. in narrow joints, and produces a very deep penetration. Also with this process sheet plates up to 15mm thickness can be welded with only one layer.
Instead of only “one droplet per pulse“ SpeedPulse realizes an almost continous material transition onto the workpiece.
Even more productivity can be achieved with the new S-SpeedPulse-series. When welding steel and CrNi‘s the application of the SpeedPulse procedure opens new possibilities. SpeedPulse combines the speed advantages of spray arc with the application and quality advantages of pulse arc. Instead of only “one droplet per pulse“ SpeedPulse realizes an almost continous material transition onto the workpiece. Upon one pulsed droplet always follows a second, specifically controlled spray arc-like material transition. The result: up to 48% faster with steel and more than 30% with CrNi’s whilst at the same time giving deeper penetration, optimal arc conditions and outstanding seam quality with virtually no spatter. Lorch’s new SpeedPulse technology, the greater speed advantage and the possibility of very little rework - enormous productivity potential for the welding manufacturing arise. SpeedArc is also available with the S-SpeedPulse-series as a optional extra.
