New 720 W IP67 power supplies for decentralized power supply

The automation specialist LÜTZE, Weinstadt, is introducing two compact power supplies in its DFPS series (Decentralized Field Power Supply) for direct field use. The IP67 power supplies, with a rated output of 720 W, are designed for demanding industrial and heavy-equipment applications.

The LÜTZE DFPS series delivers electrical power where it is needed: directly at the machine or system. With compact dimensions of 177 x 192.2 x 59.6 mm (W x H x D), both devices offer high power density and IP67 protection. The power supplies are available with DC 24 V/30 A and DC 48 V/15 A.

Wide-range input for AC and DC supply networks

The three-phase AC wide-range input from 320 to 600 V and the additional DC input range from 425 to 800 V allow operation in different power supply environments. The 24 V version DFPS3-720-24-00 (Part No. 723701) delivers up to 30 A at an efficiency of 96.7%. The 48 V version DFPS3-720-48-00 (Part No. 723702) provides 15 A and achieves an efficiency of 96.8%. Both devices provide a rated output of 720 W.

Power reserves for short-term additional demand

With the integrated PowerBoost function, the power supplies provide up to 150% of their rated output, or 1,080 W, for up to five seconds. Additional features include active inrush current limiting and a power factor correction (PFC) greater than 0.9. Temperature-dependent power derating begins at +45 °C.

Practical features for decentralized installations

M12 connectors are used for the electrical connection. The devices feature a PELV output with the negative output connected to protective earth (PE). A DC-OK relay contact enables signaling of the output status. Clearly marked connections simplify assignment, while a QR code on the device supports quick access to technical information. Both versions are cULus approved.

LÜTZE will present the new DFPS series for the first time at SPS 2026 in Nuremberg.
